THE RAINS DOWN IN AFRICA
Mood:  surprised
Topic: RAINY DAYS

Ok so for years I've been told " Going to Ireland?,take a raincoat" I don't argue with that statement but people have this idea about Africa being some "Sun Drenched Safari Prideland"

I hate to burst the bubble but the Western Cape can for 4 months of the year be an equally wet and miserable place too! with one cold front after another..mind you in between fronts you get a beautiful clear blue sky!(this quality is a saving grace)I suppose summer is just around the corner!

A wet morning in Cape Town  The view out my front door !

Ohh well if you lived somewhere with 12 months of sunshine you'd probably get blown away by a hurricane or whisked of the planet by a tornado just when you thought you had it made.
