I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CONGRATULATE YOUNG JONATHAN REA ON HIS RECENT RACE WIN his website is http://www.johnnyrea.com/
I've known the Reas for years and they have a star in the making this time!(David and Jonathan's old man! were, well and I'm being funny"just about as crap as me!") nearly hehe(no offence Davy!)
just as a note on the old bikes,I was rumaging around and found a picture of my first ever motorcycle ,it was an old ts100 suzuki trail bike which we raised the mudgaurds on and made it a scrambler!
On the left is my brother Trevor and behind me is that mad dog of a guy "Frankie Mclay" he was a complete nutcase..He came past that big white fence in the background(my father Joe was standing out painting it!) on an old Greaves360or 380 ,no helmet with the throttle stuck WIDE OPEN!
Well all I can remember is listening to him disappear down the coach road like a bat out of hell , after about 5 minutes it let a big squeel like a scalded cat!...after a while Frank came up the road pushing..he said " throttle stuck wide open Joe I turned the petrol off and waited till she quit!,any chance of a glass of water?"
My father thought he was a complete bin lid...but I'll tell you what there wasn't a harder man on this planet! here's an old pic not very good quality but it sort of gives you the drift afterall it was around1974/75 ish if I remember correctly!
